Bargaining
The Bargaining Committee shall represent WTA at Provincial Seminars One and Two.I. Timelines for Bargaining Preparation
a. Bargaining will follow MTS’ Provincial Bargaining Protocol.
b. Prior to Regional Meetings, WTA will solicit ideas from association members, schools/locations regarding local concerns; local priorities; other issues. This may be done through town halls, meetings (virtual or in person), surveys, or other means.
c. WTA will provide the MTS survey to the members. The WTA may choose to use their own survey in addition to poll the membership.
II. Regional Meeting Delegates shall be comprised of the Bargaining Committee. The remaining spaces will be filled by lottery of Council representatives.
III. The Bargaining Committee shall represent WTA at Provincial Seminars One and Two.
IV. The WTA Vice President shall communicate to members the substance of an agreement in committee prior to a ratification vote.
VI. Every electoral unit shall receive copies of the current Collective Agreement as follows:
– one for principal(s)
– one for office
– one for WTA representatives
and that copies be available to other members of the association on request from the WTA office.
